Grahams Samson daughter makes 22,000gns at Brockhurst Sale

The rising five year old Limousin cow Brockhurst Batik, sired by the noted Grahams Samson, made 22,000gns and topped the on-farm Production Sale of the Brockhurst Herd on behalf of Messrs WJ & M Mash Ltd held at Torrington Farm, Grove Lane, Chesham, Bucks on Saturday 9th April 2011. Prolific purchasers of Limousin pedigree stock, Smiths of Bloxham, Newlands Farm, Milton Road, Bloxham, Banbury were again to the fore when taking home the top price animal. Their Oxfordshire based Ironstone Herd now comprises of approximately 260 pedigree Limousins.

With an impressive show career to date which includes Championship and Reserve Championship titles at the 2008 Royal Highland Show & Royal Show respectively, the June 2006-born Brockhurst Batik is a daughter of the 55,000gns Grahams Samson and is out of the noted 2004 Royal Show Champion, Ronick McAinsi a Talent daughter. A second calver, Brockhurst Batik was sold in calf to Brockhurst Centurion, a son of the herd’s 21,000gns stock bull Glenturk Ultrasolid.
